The rigid, micro-corrugated exterior packaging protects secondary and primary containers from possible transit damage. It has a damp-repellent treatment and comes with mandatory printed indications for this category as well as an integrated document carrier.
The outer box houses a secondary hermetic container, made of polypropylene, which is designed to hold one or several primary containers. There are 0.25 litres and 1.8 litre versions, both of which should be sterilised in autoclave at 121°C. The seal and lid for the different versions should not be sterilised but instead replaced after every third use.
Biobox also features a micro-corrugated cardboard separator that has a stabilising effect, keeping the secondary container in its correct position and preventing movement in the event of any impact. An absorbent tissue layer and a bubble wrap paper strip for the 1.8 litre version complete the kit.
The P620 Biobox is a UN-approved product, designed in accordance with P620 instruction on packaging but also with the different prevailing international transport regulations for air, sea, road and rail.
