Tempack’s on-going commitment to sustainability has given birth to another recyclable brainchild: The PET Thermpack temperature control shipper.
This passive shipping box is economical and eco-friendly, giving agro-food, chemical and life sciences companies an affordable, reliable transportation solution that will satisfy their own sustainability goals.
The key to the performance of this isothermal shipper is its use of 100% recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (or PET) bottles. PET is a highly-recyclable plastic resin and a form of polyester. Renowned for its impact resistance and thermo-stability, the nature of the material also allows us to provide cost efficiencies at every turn.
Organic fiber-based or foam-based insulation is often used with eco-friendly shippers. But these materials are heavy by comparison, and ultimately more expensive. PET Thermpack is inexpensive and its lightweight composition saves further on shipping costs.
Its high-performance thermal protection is made even more appealing by the fact that it maintains temperatures for prolonged periods of up to 48 hours, using fewer refrigerant packs than would normally be required in other shippers.
