The P650 Termovial isothermal bio-container is the ideal product for transporting test tubes or vials with liquid medicines. Diagnostic samples, PCRs, anti-doping and anti-drug controls or vaccines can all be shipped with confidence in these sturdy, reusable vessels. Ensuring their integral conservation during transit requires incredibly reliable, specialised, insulated packaging which must conform with layers of regulatory policy.
The Termovial thermal container for biological products complies fully with the ADR, RID, IMDG and IATA P650 packaging instructions. It also adheres to regulations for air, road, rail and maritime transport, as well as the ICAO Technical Instructions.
In so doing, this insulated packaging solution for test tubes and vials will transport temperature-sensitive biological and pharmaceutical products of all types. Depending on the nature of the contents and their individual shipping temperature requirements, three different products are available that enable transit at refrigerated levels of +2º to +8ºC, frozen at -21ºC, at +37ºC, +22ºC.
Termovial guarantees up to 24 hours hold time, extendable to 72 hours or more if integrated in a system with PU container and additional cold packs.
The different characteristics that make up the Termovial combine to guarantee the integrity of the test tubes or vials of diagnostic samples for the full duration of their journey. Each thermal bio-container is sealed with a hermetic stopper and tested for an internal pressure of 95kPa. Highly resistant to the outside environment, these receptacles possess a high calorific capacity which provides low heat conductivity.
Aside from thermal qualities, the P650 Termovial for biological products is a reusable product, made of a highly hard-wearing material suitable for sterilisation. The product is non-toxic and makes a preferable alternative to carbonic or dry ice which is considered hazardous good by the IATA.
