Pharmaceutical, biological, chemical and agro-food companies that require temperature-sensitive goods to be shipped at chilled or ambient levels will often have need for thermal barriers in transit. A useful component for insulated shipping, Tempack Thermal Barriers are used in conjunction with cooling elements and insulated shippers or boxes. They essentially enable the refrigerated or initial temperature of a perishable product to be maintained for a longer period.
This insulated shipping product achieves its goal by preventing transported goods from reaching their freezing point. Thermal barriers also prolong the duration of the cooling process, allowing for longer storage and transportation time. They present two different pre-cooling modalities: +5ºC and +25ºC.
The thermal mass of the gel and the interior insulation can ensure the stability of the refrigerated temperature system at +5ºC. This prevents freezing temperatures as well as any sudden climatic variations, keeping products regulated between +2° and +8°С. The performance of these temperature control barriers will endure even in extreme winter environmental conditions or upon initial contact with frozen cold packs. Such qualities make this insulation ideal for transporting many perishable products, including vaccines, insulin, biological samples, reagents and medicines.
